The Roaring Lion At The Door

This morning my heart is burdened desperately.  Watching the body of Christ slowly slip from excellence to Him and others into a rebellious complacency that is truly blinding and will ultimately destroy any impact for the Kingdom. I see how the ways of the world are slowly but surely recklessly infiltrating the body of Christ, and if we don't make a stand...if we don't seek and strive for Him, His will, and His ways, we will be no different than the world.  We will be lost. All those we could reach will be lost. Ughhhh my heart cries. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says, "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these."

1 John 2:15-17 says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."  I encourage followers of Jesus Christ to be watchful...be careful... do not love the ways of the world.  Don't play with fire.  You will get burned!  Don't open the door to the roaring lion who is roaming around looking for people to devour but rather seek Him all the more fervently.  Wake up Church...the reality is...this world is going to pass away and then there is eternity.  In that eternity, followers of God will stand before the judgment seat of Christ...and this is what the Word says about that: 2 Corinthians 5:10 - "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."  I implore my fellow brothers and sisters in Him...stand strong, seek Him, serve Him, love others, serve others...There's a roaring lion at the door.  Don't open and invite him in.
